The Bolwara Transitional Centre is situated in the New South Wales suburb of Emu Plains. The Centre is one of two Transitonal Centres under  Corrective  Services  New  South Wales. The  Centre  provides support  for  female  offenders  approaching  release  from  custody. Bolwara  focuses  on  Aboriginal  women  and  provides  support  for women  who  have  histories  of  alcohol  and  other  drugs  use.  This transitional support isdesigned to help the women successfully return to the community and minimise their risk of re-offending.
